The Taiwan Network Information Center (TWNIC), the national registry for .tw/.台灣 domains and IP resource allocation, has officially concluded the first stage of selection for the 2026 TWNIC Academy. Guided by the mission to cultivate youth expertise in Internet Governance (IG) and the multi-stakeholder model, this program bridges the gap between local talent and international organizations like ICANN and APNIC. Following a competitive review of applicants interested in the future of network policy, 12 fellows have been selected to participate in the second stage of the program. These fellows will now move on to intensive physical courses, designed to deepen their understanding of global internet trends and policy-making. This stage serves as the final gateway to international opportunities and attend the meetings as fellows. Beyond the training, these 12 fellows are on the path to becoming part of the TWNIC Academy Alumni. This network ensures that the experience gained at international forums is transformed into collective knowledge, allowing alumni to mentor future generations and continue shaping the global internet landscape.
