A6
Following the application process, if you promptly complete the email confirmation and payment procedures, the registration can be completed as quickly as the same day.
Q7
Is document submission required for eligibility verification when applying for domain names?
A7
Since January 1, 2003, TWNIC has allowed new domain name applications to be submitted directly online, eliminating the requirement for paper document review. The domain name application process has been simplified—applicants only need to confirm via email and complete all application procedures online.
While new domain name applications no longer require prior eligibility document review, registration qualifications for both domestic and international companies or individuals must still comply with TWNIC's regulations. If a registered .tw/.台灣 domain name is reported as not meeting eligibility requirements, TWNIC and Registrars will conduct post-registration audits. If confirmed to be ineligible, TWNIC may delete the domain name in accordance with the Guidelines for Domain Name Registration and Domain Name Registration Agreement.

Domain name applications are processed online on a first-come, first-served basis. Domain name application eligibility must still comply with TWNIC's relevant regulations. For application requirements, please refer to About .tw/.台灣 Domains.

- The domain name is identical or confusingly similar to the complainant's trademark, service mark, personal name, business name, or other identifier.
- The registrant has no rights or legitimate interests in the domain name.
- The registrant registered or is using the domain name in bad faith.
For relevant regulations, please refer to TWNIC's Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy.
Q12
Can I register a domain name before my website is fully developed?
