ASN Application Instruction
An Autonomous System Number (ASN) is required only when connecting multiple networks through protocols such as EGP (Exterior Gateway Protocol), BGP (Border Gateway Protocol), or IDRP (OSI Inter-Domain Routing Protocol). The application conditions are as follows:
- To apply for an ASN, the applicant must be either an Internet Service Provider (ISP) or an Internet End User of TWNIC IP addresses and must pay the relevant fees in accordance with the “TWNIC Fee Management for IP Address Allocation Regulations”.
- The applicant must have a concrete need and actual cases of connecting multiple networks (multi-homed) using EGP, BGP, or IDRP protocols.
